Change Android IMEI Number

There is a single IMEI number on each mobile phone in this plant. It also comes with this number, printed inside your battery, not only phones but every satellite phone and smartphone.

IMEI is the International Mobile Equipment Identity Number abbreviation. This unique number includes a default number for any telephone device. In cases of loss or thievery, users sometimes require this number to identify their mobile phones.

If you lose or die, you are tracking this IMEI number to track your telephone when you file a complaint at the police station. Just like a chassis number, the IMEI number on each telephone is a 15-digit unique serial number.

I have seen over the past few days that people have often asked how IMEI numbers on Android phones should be changed.

That is why today I’ve been privileged to teach you easy methods to modify your Android device IMEI numbers. But first let us see what are the different use of IMEI number and why you must first change your IMEI number.

What are the uses of the IMEI number?

There are several uses of the IMEI number:

  1. The statistics on stolen and lost devices have also increased with the increasing use of mobile devices. If users know their IMEI number, they can block stolen or lost devices for further use. All users should call their network carrier and report robbing or losing the device. The carrier may block the particular device and notify other carriers of that.
  2. The IMEI number with 15 digits indicates the device’s origin and model. The first 8 digits show the source and model of the device, while the last 6 digits indicate the manufacturer.
  3. You can use the IMEI number to track the device when you subscribe to a mobile tracking service – even using another SIM card.

As its main purpose is to identify a mobile device wherever it is, many persons are somewhat paranoid about secret society. Many people think that you won’t have someone spying on you if you change IMEI Android numbers.

Why do you need to change your IMEI number?

The 15 digits unique code that comes with your phone is the same as I mentioned before an IMEI number. After you buy your phone, the IMEI number is stored in the company’s named database.

Now I would like to say, if you ask me this question, that a person can change his or her IMEI number several times. Among them, the reference and earn applications are one of the main reasons to change your IMEI number.

There are many apps on Google Play Store that allow you to make a difference when referred to your friends with that application. What the intelligent people are doing now is to download the app over and over on your smartphone with the reference link.

However, this is possible only if you change your device’s IMEI number. This is because your IMEI number has been recorded in the application developer database when you first download the application on your phone.

Therefore, every time you change the IMEI number of your phone, you can use the application as a new user. But there can be several reasons to change the IMEI of your Android phone, but this is just one example.

How to Change Android IMEI Number -without Root?

Let us now return to the main part of the debate today, which is how to change your IMEI number without rooting your telephone. It is not always possible to root your phone to adapt anything, so I talk about it without the rooting procedure.

Multiple rooting may also damage your Android system and memory disc. Therefore I list two methods in the section below to change your Android device’s IMEI number.

Method 1 -Changing IMEI number (without root)

Let’s be honest here, it’s a complex task to change your IMEI number without having rooting. It can take a bit of your time. You must therefore be sufficiently patient to change your IMEI number.

You should bear in mind another thing: all your phone details and records will be removed by changing your IMEI number. So make sure you have everything backed up before you continue the procedure.

Follow the steps below to change your IMEI:

  1. Open and go to the settings section of your Android device.
  2. See the option “Backup & Reset” in the Settings section.
  3. You then have to tap the “Factory Data Reset” option.
  4. Now, your Android device will receive a notification.
  5. Click “Create new Android ID” to open that notification.

Method 2 -Changing IMEI number(without root)

If the method 1 doesn’t work properly and you can’t change your IMEI number, try this second method with your phone’s IMEI number.

So follow the steps I mention below and you can finish the task:

  1. Dial *#7465625# or *#*#3646633#*#* on the dial pad of your android phone
  2. To connect or to your Andriod device, click on the Connectivity option.
  3. Search for information about the CDS now. Click on that option if you’ve found it.
  4. Search now for radio information after you are done with this step.
  5. You get an option here which says IMEI_1 [SIM1] and IMEI_2[SIM 2] if you have 2 SIM cards inserted in your telephone.
  6. Select the SIM from this option for which your IMEI number would like to be changed.
  7. Follow the following code to change the IMEI number:

AT+EGMR=1,7,”IMEI_1” or AT+EGMR-1,10,”IMEI_2”

8. After this the IMEI1 or IMEI2 is changed to one of your preferred numbers and the SEND button is clicked.
You are done in the process of changing the IMEI number.

Conclution

All methods I mentioned apply to the real world pretty much. But I’d like to mention that I’ve only been talking about this subject for education. You will now be responsible for any damage to your Android device if you change your IMEI number by using these two methods.

Therefore I would recommend that you follow this article to modify your IMEI numbers very carefully and at your own risk. I hope this article helps those readers who looked for this kind of internet article.
