On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the Indian economy has started seeing “green shoots” of recovery and the country continues to be one of the world’s most open economies.
He said that it is only appropriate to speak about the revival at a time when the world is battling the COVID-19 pandemic and there is the confidence that India will have a leadership role in the global revival.
“No wonder that India already sees green shoots in its economic recovery,” Modi said in a speech to the Indian Global Week 2020. “Indians have the spirit of achieving what is considered impossible.
He said India remains one of the world’s most open economies.
“We are setting the main stage for all global companies to come to India. Very few countries will offer this kind of opportunities like India is doing today,” he continued.
Modi also said that in various sunrise sectors in India, there are multiple prospects.
“Our agriculture reforms deliver a highly lucrative way of investing in storage and logistics,” Modi said.
