Apple has set the HomeView price at $299. The 7-inch smart display opened for pre-order on 13 October 2026 in eight markets and ships on Friday 13 November, with a wall-mounted model at the same price. Apple confirmed it will not sell HomeView in the European Union.

Where the Apple HomeView Price Applies, and When It Ships

Apple opened HomeView pre-orders in six countries on 13 October 2026, added Singapore two days later, and routes South Africa through resellers. Apple, the Cupertino company that makes the iPhone and HomePod, took orders through apple.com and the Apple Store app.

Apple’s announcement gives Friday 13 November 2026 as the date both models reach customers in the countries it lists. The release does not restate a separate shipping date for Singapore, so the 13 November date is the only one Apple has published for that market.

Why the European Union Is Not on the List

Apple says HomeView cannot go on sale in the EU because its new Siri does not run on iPhones there. The company’s press release states that “Apple HomeView is not available for sale in the European Union, as Siri AI is currently unavailable in iOS in the EU”, and adds that Apple is working constructively with the EU to find a path forward.

That absence dates from a regulatory dispute earlier in 2026. Apple asked the European Commission for an exemption of at least 18 months from the interoperability obligations in the Digital Markets Act, the EU competition law that imposes extra duties on designated gatekeeper platforms. The Commission rejected the request on 9 June 2026, and its spokesperson Thomas Regnier said the decision not to roll out Siri AI in the EU was Apple’s alone.

Apple has not set a date for Siri AI on iPhones or iPads in the EU, and it has not said HomeView will follow when that changes. According to 9to5Mac, Siri AI already runs in the EU on macOS Golden Gate and visionOS 27, neither of which the DMA designates as a gatekeeper platform; that reading comes from a single outlet rather than from Apple. The same split appeared when iOS 27 shipped in September without Siri AI for EU iPhones.

What $299 Buys, and What the Mounts Cost Extra

The $299 price covers the display itself in either form, but the wall-mounted version needs a mount that Apple sells separately. The tabletop model has an aluminium body, a domed speaker base and a stainless steel hinge that tilts the screen, and comes in silver, starlight, rose pink and space gray, each with a matching cable. The wall-mounted model comes in space gray and silver only.

Apple lists three Schneider Home mounts for the wall version in the United States, for self-installation or professional installation:

  • Power Mount USB-C Wall Connector: from $59.95, orderable now.
  • Power Mount AC Wired: from $79.95, orderable now.
  • Power Mount PoE Wired: $129.95, available from early 2027.

A wall installation therefore starts at about $359 before tax in the United States, and reaches roughly $429 for the Power-over-Ethernet mount that does not arrive until early next year. Apple has not published mount prices for the other markets.

What Siri AI Does Without an Apple Intelligence iPhone

HomeView behaves differently depending on the phone you pair with it, and Apple ships the new assistant as a beta. Siri AI arrives in beta in HomeView software version 27.2.

To get personal context, which surfaces your own Messages, FaceTime, Calendar, Reminders and Find My content, Apple requires a paired iPhone or iPad that supports Apple Intelligence, runs the latest software, has Siri AI switched on and is set to a supported language. Without such a device, Apple says HomeView still offers broad world knowledge, conversation and improved music discovery, but not the personal layer.

The expressive, customisable Siri voices are narrower still. Apple limits them to iPhone Duo, iPhone 18 Pro models, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro models, or an iPad with an M4 chip or later and at least 12GB of unified memory, and offers them in English only.

Siri AI itself runs in English in the United States, Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa and the United Kingdom, which matches the sales list. Apple says Canadian French will follow in a free update and has not dated it. Apple also warns that some server-based Apple Intelligence features carry daily usage limits, and that expanded access will carry a fee in future, without naming the fee.

Hardware, Audio and the Privacy Design

HomeView runs on the A18 chip and a 7-inch screen that dims far lower than a tablet. The headline specifications Apple has confirmed are:

ComponentSpecification
Display7-inch Liquid Retina, True Tone
Brightness500 nits maximum, 0.3 nits minimum
ChipA18
CameraCenter Stage, for FaceTime
Live camera feedsUp to nine at once
Face recognitionUp to six enrolled people
Tabletop audioTwo full-range drivers, down-firing woofer, two force-cancelling passive radiators
Wall-mounted audioTwo drivers tuned for on-wall placement

The 0.3 nits floor is the figure aimed at bedside use, and the interface changes with distance, showing simpler information from across the room and more detail close up. HomeView also listens for smoke and carbon monoxide alarm sounds and sends alerts to an iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch.

On privacy, Apple says camera and microphone data is handled in Secure Exclaves, processed apart from the rest of the system and not reachable by HomeView software, apps, the user or Apple. Personal content appears only when an enrolled face is recognised and that person’s paired device is present and was recently unlocked. Siri requests run on-device or through Private Cloud Compute.

What Apple Has Not Said

Several things buyers will want to know are still open. As of 15 October 2026, HomeView is on pre-order in eight markets and ships on 13 November, and Apple has given no date, and no commitment, for the European Union.

  • EU availability: no timeline for Siri AI on iOS in the EU, and so none for HomeView.
  • Apple Home Collection pricing: the cameras, thermostats and lock designed with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric start in December 2026, with some accessories in early 2027, and Apple has published no prices.
  • The Apple Intelligence fee: Apple says expanded access will cost money later but has not said how much or when.
  • Third-party apps: coverage from MacRumors and 9to5Mac indicates apps reach HomeView from a paired iPhone or iPad rather than an on-device App Store. Apple’s own release does not describe an App Store for the device.

Apple announced HomeView alongside a new Apple TV 4K and a second-generation HomePod mini at its press-only Welcome Home launch on 13 October, which ran without a keynote video.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is the Apple HomeView Price?

The Apple HomeView price is $299 in the United States for both the tabletop and the wall-mounted model. Wall mounts are sold separately and start at $59.95.

When Does Apple HomeView Ship?

Apple gives Friday 13 November 2026 as the availability date in the countries where it is taking orders. Pre-orders opened on 13 October 2026, and on 15 October in Singapore.

Can I Buy Apple HomeView in the European Union?

No. Apple says HomeView is not for sale in the EU because Siri AI is not available in iOS there, and it has not given a date for either.
