The Apple Welcome Home event is a press-only product launch set for Tuesday 13 October 2026. Apple has invited selected journalists to an invitation-only Apple Experience in Tribeca, New York, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time. Marketing chief Greg Joswiak announced the date on X on 8 October without naming a product.

What Apple Has Confirmed So Far

Apple has confirmed the date, the time, the city and the format, and nothing else. Everything in the table below comes from Apple itself, either from Joswiak’s post or from the invitation sent to press.

Greg Joswiak is Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing. His 8 October post showed a rainbow Apple logo being stitched into fabric and ended on the tagline. Apple issued no accompanying press release naming products.

Can You Watch the Welcome Home Launch Live?

There is no livestream to watch, on the evidence Apple has published so far. Apple’s own Apple Events page still has September’s iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro launch as its most recent entry, with no listing for 13 October. Both 9to5Mac and MacRumors reported the same absence on 9 October, and neither found a scheduled stream on Apple’s YouTube channel or in the Apple TV app.

Mark Gurman of Bloomberg has reported that the launch will include “an online video presentation and in-person component for the press”. That points to a recorded video published at some point rather than a broadcast you can tune into, and Gurman is the only source for it.

If a video does appear, 9:00 a.m. ET is the hour to check, because that is when the press session begins. For reference, the usual Apple keynote slot is 10:00 a.m. Pacific — four hours later than this launch starts.

  • New York: 9:00 a.m. ET, Tuesday 13 October
  • Los Angeles: 6:00 a.m. PT

  • Berlin and Paris: 3:00 p.m. CEST
  • New Delhi: 6:30 p.m. IST

Why an “Apple Experience” Is Not an Apple Event

Apple uses the two words to mean different things, and the difference decides whether there is anything to watch. MacRumors, which has tracked Apple’s launch formats for two decades, puts it plainly: an “event” includes a pre-recorded keynote-style video that is streamed live, while an “experience” does not.

Apple has run this format before. The MacBook Neo launch in March 2026 was billed as a “special Apple experience”: there was no keynote and no livestream, invited media got hands-on sessions in New York, London and Shanghai, and six products were announced across three days through Apple Newsroom posts, images and short videos. If 13 October follows that pattern, the news will arrive as press releases on Apple’s own site rather than as a presentation.

What Reports Say Apple Will Announce

Every product below is reported rather than confirmed, and most of it traces to a single journalist, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Apple has named none of it.

ProductReported detailReported ship date
“HomeView” smart home hubApple’s first hub with a display; A18 chip; countertop model in space gray, silver, starlight and pink, wall-mounted model in silver or space grayMid-November 2026
Apple TV 4KA19 chip and a revised Siri RemoteFriday 30 October 2026
HomePod miniMoves from the S5 chip to the S10Friday 30 October 2026

The A18 is the processor Apple already ships in the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus and iPhone 16e, so a hub built on it would be using a chip two generations old. Reports have not agreed on the Apple TV 4K’s processor: coverage on 11 October settled on the standard A19, while earlier write-ups had suggested a Pro-tier part. No report gives a price for any of the three.

What Apple Has Not Said

As of 12 October 2026, Apple has not confirmed any product, any price, any shipping date, any country availability or any livestream for the Welcome Home launch. It has not published a Newsroom post about it, and it has not added the launch to its events page. The three products above may not all appear, and anything Apple does announce may differ from the reports in name, specification and timing.

Apple’s most recent launch wave, which brought the iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro, showed how quickly details settle once the company publishes rather than leaks — the iPhone 18 Pro Max service issue that followed was only pinned down after Apple spoke directly.

Frequently Asked Questions

When Is the Apple Welcome Home Event?

Tuesday 13 October 2026, starting at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time. That is 6:00 a.m. Pacific, 2:00 p.m. in London and 6:30 p.m. in New Delhi.

Will the Apple Welcome Home Event Be Livestreamed?

Apple has not announced a livestream, and the launch is not listed on Apple’s events page. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has reported that an online video presentation is planned, which suggests a recorded video rather than a live broadcast.

What Is an Apple Experience?

It is Apple’s name for a press launch with no streamed keynote. Invited journalists get hands-on time with new products in person, and Apple announces the products through press releases and short videos instead of a presentation.

What Is Apple Expected to Announce at the Welcome Home Launch?

Reports point to a smart home hub with a display, reportedly called HomeView, plus a new Apple TV 4K and an updated HomePod mini. Apple has confirmed none of them.

Have Prices Been Announced for Apple’s New Home Products?

No. Apple has given no prices, and no report has published one either. Pricing would normally appear on Apple’s own site on the day of announcement.
