Who Gets the New Siri AI on Monday
Siri AI requires an iPhone 15 Pro, an iPhone 15 Pro Max, or an iPhone 16 or later. An iPhone 11 owner who installs iOS 27 on Monday gets the interface changes and the app updates, and no new assistant at all.
Apple lists the wider hardware set as iPad models with M1 or later and the A17 Pro iPad mini, Macs with M1 or later and the A18 Pro MacBook Neo, Apple Vision Pro, and Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Apple Watch SE (3rd generation) or later when paired with a supported iPhone.

Apple attributes the European gap to the Digital Markets Act, the European Union competition law that governs how large platforms open their systems to rivals. In its own announcement, Apple said that because of the DMA it “will not be able to ship Siri AI in the European Union with the release of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27”.
Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of software engineering, said in Apple’s statement on the delay: “We’re deeply disappointed that our EU users won’t have Siri AI on iPhone or iPad when we share our new software releases later this year.” The company is not the first to fight the DMA on how its software behaves in Europe; Spotify has previously accused Apple of breaching the same law over volume controls on iOS.
Two Features Apple Pulled From the Launch Build
