The popularity of podcasting has exploded in recent years. In 2018, it was reported that more than 18 million people listened to a podcast for the very first time. This is a staggering number. It tells how this form of content is widely getting accepted by the general public. Also, considering how quickly the users are getting used to podcasts, it can certainly start new trends in the future. I, personally, like to listen to podcasts. This is why after checking Spectrum internet prices, I subscribed to the service so that I enjoy my favorite series without any issues like buffering which ruins the experience.

You would be amazed to know that in the United States alone, the podcasting audience has surged to 44%. And you know what? This is just the beginning! Considering how there are a plethora of podcasts available on Apple, you can bet that the market has already started to get saturated. And hence, the competition would be fierce. So, if you are planning to start your own podcast then you would need a lucrative marketing plan so you may promote your show the right way.

But if you think that will be too much work then don’t fret! This article will discuss seven ways that can help you with that. So, let’s get right to it.

1. Share Your Podcast On iTunes

Neiman Lab has reported that 70% of all podcast listening takes place on iTunes. Considering this stat, it makes sense to share your podcast on the platform. It will help you gain some traction there, allowing you to build your career as a podcaster. However, you must know that the podcasts that are submitted to Apple Podcast go through a moderation process. So, don’t panic if it takes a few days for your feed to go live.

2. Leverage Your Guest’s Audience

What is the format of your podcast going to be? Will it feature guests? Are they going to be famous individuals? If so, then you can leverage this, and make their audience your own. If you feature an influencer in your podcast then chances are that more influencers would show an interest in appearing on your show. Plus, those influencers who appeared on the podcast might share the episode with their followers once it goes live. It can help you earn a lot of listeners and so, your series would grow.

3. Post Tons of Content

Nothing comes easy! Therefore, before you start expecting to receive a lot of followers, you will need to post a ton of content. Creating a catchy artwork for your podcast is just as important as the content you decide to include in the show. Therefore, don’t take this step lightly and pay heed while designing artwork for your podcast. While uploading the podcast on the Apple Podcast, keep in mind that the minimum size of the image should be 1400 x 1400 pixels whereas the maximum size should be 3000 x 3000 pixels. Another thing that you can do is to create different traditional logos that you can use to promote your show on different social media platforms.
