Peloton Tread Flex, the company’s first folding treadmill and its cheapest ever, costs $2,195 and goes on sale on 1 October 2026 in the United States and Canada. It has no camera, so Peloton’s new Run Analysis feature does not work on it. Peloton announced the machine on 22 September.
Peloton Tread Flex Price and Release Date
The Tread Flex is the entry point to a three-machine lineup announced on the same day, and it undercuts every treadmill Peloton has sold before. The company’s product page lists it at $2,195, or $182.92 a month over 12 months at 0% APR through Affirm for buyers who qualify.

For scale, Peloton’s original 2018 Tread launched at around $4,000. Alongside the hardware, Peloton is rolling out three software features on 1 October: Run Analysis, IQ Pace Targets and ReRuns, plus an integration with the Whoop fitness band. The machine is fronted by a “Let Yourself Run” campaign with Miley Cyrus.
How the Three New Treadmills Compare
The three machines differ in three things that matter: whether there is a camera, how fast and steep they go, and what the running surface is made of.

The Tread Flex is the only one that folds and rolls away, which is its entire reason for existing. Peloton rates it at 70db in use. The Tread Vision adds a cooling fan, Sonos-tuned audio, a phone tray and jump buttons for speed and incline. The Tread+ Vision keeps the slat-belt deck of the outgoing premium machine and, according to Engadget, adds a Sled Mode with 30 to 300 pounds of resistance.
Why Run Analysis Does Not Work on the Tread Flex
Run Analysis is the headline new feature of this launch, and it is the one thing the cheapest machine cannot do. It depends entirely on the movement-tracking camera, which the Tread Flex does not have — a first for a Peloton treadmill.
Peloton describes the feature this way: “As you run, the camera automatically measures your cadence, vertical oscillation, and stride length in real time. At the end of your workout, you’ll get a personal check-up with your own Running Efficiency Score, measured on a scale of 1–100.” Cadence is steps per minute, stride length is the distance covered per step, and vertical oscillation is how much the body bounces up and down — wasted motion, in running terms.
The camera also drives Peloton IQ’s strength features away from the treadmill, including rep counting, form feedback and weight recommendations. So the gap between the $2,195 and $3,495 machines is not mainly speed or screen size. It is whether the machine can see you.
What the Tread Flex does still get: IQ Pace Targets, ReRuns and heart-rate zone workouts. Engadget reports that IQ Pace Targets needs about 10 running workouts logged before it produces personalised pace ranges, so neither machine delivers tailored pacing on day one.
When Each Region Gets the Tread Flex
The cheapest model is the slowest to arrive. Anyone outside North America reading that Peloton’s most affordable treadmill goes on sale on 1 October should know it does not apply to them.

As of 24 September 2026, none of the three machines is on sale yet; all three open for orders on 1 October, and Run Analysis, IQ Pace Targets and ReRuns arrive the same day. Peloton has given no month within spring 2027 for the international Tread Flex rollout and no country list beyond the markets named above.
What It Costs to Run, and What Happens to the Old Treads
The hardware price is not the whole cost. Peloton’s classes, Peloton IQ and Run Analysis all sit behind the All-Access Membership, which costs $49.99 a month in the United States — a price set in late 2025 and not changed by this announcement. Over three years that is roughly $1,800 on top of the machine, which is close to the price of the Tread Flex itself.
For existing owners, the practical news is that the outgoing machines are going away. Peloton Buddy reports that the Cross Training Tread and Tread+ will no longer be sold directly by Peloton after 1 October, replaced by the Vision models, and that no trade-in programme is being offered. Run Analysis will work on the Cross Training Tread+, because that machine already has the camera.
