JioFiber is a high-speed broadband service from Reliance Jio that offers internet speeds up to 1 Gbps, along with various digital services such as TV, video calling, gaming, and cloud storage. To enjoy these services, you need a JioFiber Router, which is a device that connects your home or office to the JioFiber network.
Understanding JioFiber Routers
What is a JioFiber Router?
A JioFiber Router is a device that acts as a gateway between your home or office and the JioFiber network. It allows you to access the internet and other digital services offered by JioFiber, such as TV, video calling, gaming, and cloud storage. A JioFiber Router is also known as a Jio Home Gateway or a JioFiber ONT (Optical Network Terminal).
How Does it Work?
A JioFiber Router works by converting the optical signals from the JioFiber network into electrical signals that can be transmitted over a wired or wireless network. The JioFiber network uses fiber optic cables that carry light pulses to deliver high-speed internet and other services. The JioFiber Router receives these light pulses through a fiber optic cable that is connected to a wall-mounted JioFiber ONT Box. The JioFiber Router then converts these light pulses into electrical signals that can be sent to your devices via an Ethernet cable or a WiFi network.
What are its Features?
A JioFiber Router has several features that make it a smart and versatile device. Some of these features are:
- Dual-band WiFi: A JioFiber Router supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi bands, which means you can enjoy faster and more stable wireless connectivity for your devices. You can also create multiple WiFi networks with different names and passwords for different purposes, such as guest access, parental control, or security.
- Gigabit Ethernet: A JioFiber Router has four Gigabit Ethernet ports that allow you to connect your devices to a wired network for faster and more reliable internet access. You can also use these ports to connect your JioFiber Router to other devices, such as a Jio Set-Top Box, a Jio GigaTV, or a Jio Smart Home Hub.
- USB Port: A JioFiber Router has a USB port that lets you connect external storage devices, such as a pen drive or a hard disk, to your JioFiber network. You can use this feature to share files, backup data, or stream media across your devices.
- Voice Assistant: A JioFiber Router has a built-in voice assistant that can help you control your JioFiber services and devices with simple voice commands. You can use this feature to change channels, play games, make video calls, or check your account balance.

Troubleshooting Common Issues
If you face any issues while logging in to your JioFiber Router, you can try these solutions:
- Check your network connection: Make sure your device is connected to your JioFiber Router via an Ethernet cable or a WiFi network. You can also check the status of your JioFiber network by looking at the LED indicators on your JioFiber Router and your JioFiber ONT Box. If any of the indicators are red or blinking, it means there is a problem with your network connection. You can try to restart your JioFiber Router and your JioFiber ONT Box by unplugging them from the power source and plugging them back in after a few seconds.
- Check your login credentials: Make sure you are entering the correct username and password for your JioFiber Router. The default username is admin and the default password is Jiocentrum. If you have changed your password, make sure you are entering the new password. If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it by pressing the reset button on the back of your JioFiber Router for 10 seconds. This will restore your JioFiber Router to its factory settings and you can login with the default credentials.
- Check your browser settings: Make sure your browser is updated to the latest version and has JavaScript enabled. You can also try to clear your browser cache and cookies or use a different browser or device to login to your JioFiber Router.
How to Change Your WiFi Password?
To change your WiFi password, you need to follow these steps:
- Login to your JioFiber Router as explained above.
- Click on NETWORK on the left side of the screen and then click on Wireless.
