Honor Magic9 Pro Max Price and Storage Options

One benchmark claim is circulating: the phone is reported to have scored 5,524,187 points on AnTuTu V12, ahead of the OnePlus 16’s 5,384,433. Those numbers come from a single outlet reading a leaderboard, not from Honor or AnTuTu directly, and benchmark scores vary between runs and firmware versions.
What the ARRI Cinema Features Actually Do
ARRI is the German manufacturer whose cameras shoot a large share of feature films. The partnership here is about colour and dynamic range, not about the lens hardware.
Three things are on the phone. The first is ARRI’s LogC3 curve recorded in 10-bit colour within ARRI Wide Gamut 3. Log recording deliberately produces a flat, washed-out image that holds detail in both shadows and highlights so that colour can be graded afterwards in editing software; it is the format a professional workflow expects, and it is not what you want if you never edit your footage. The second is a set of 14 preset ARRI Looks plus an ARRI Look Library containing 87 predefined gradings, which apply a finished film look without manual grading. The third is a four-microphone system Honor calls a Cinematic Directional Microphone.
Honor’s two headline figures for the pipeline are “14 stops of cinematic dynamic range” and an “8dB signal-to-noise ratio improvement”. A stop is a doubling of light, so 14 stops describes the range between the darkest and brightest detail the system can hold. Both figures are Honor’s own measurements; no independent testing has been published. James Li, Honor’s chief executive, framed the launch by saying “[t]he HONOR Magic Series was born for creation, using technology to nurture and empower the creativity within each of us.”

Where It Is on Sale, and Where It Is Not
As of 29 September 2026, the Magic9 Pro Max is on sale in China only. Honor says rollouts across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Southeast Asia and other international markets “will be announced shortly”, and has not named a single country, date or price.
Two practical points follow. Honor does not sell smartphones in the United States, and nothing in this launch suggests a change, so US buyers should not expect an official release. And on past Honor launches, international versions have arrived some weeks after the China debut at higher local prices; that is a pattern, not a commitment, and Honor has published no timetable. Estimates of a November or December arrival in Europe circulating in coverage are outlet extrapolation rather than anything Honor has said.
A phone bought from China also comes with the Chinese build of MagicOS, which differs from international versions in bundled services and in Google app availability. Honor has not published a specification sheet for any international model.
The Rest of the Magic9 Line, and Why Its Prices Are Unclear
Honor launched more than one phone in Beijing. Reporting consistently describes three models — the Magic9, the Magic9 Super Edition and the Magic9 Pro Max — with the Super Edition credited with the largest battery in the range.
Only the Pro Max appears in Honor’s global newsroom announcement, and the prices reported for the other two do not agree between outlets. One report put the base Magic9 at 5,999 yuan; another described a 6,499 yuan list price for a 16GB and 512GB Magic9 discounted to 5,999 yuan for the Magic series’ tenth anniversary and to 5,499 yuan with a Chinese national subsidy. Those are not necessarily contradictory — list price, promotional price and subsidised price are three different numbers — but Honor has not published a single reconciled price list in English, so any figure for the non-Pro Max models should be treated as provisional.
