Kevin Costner and his wife, Christine Baumgartner, are ending their marriage of nearly 19 years, as confirmed by the actor’s representative on Tuesday. “Deeply regrettable circumstances beyond his control have led to Mr. Costner participating in a marriage dissolution,” stated publicist Arnold Robinson.
Costner and Baumgartner, a model and handbag designer, started their relationship in 1998 and tied the knot at his Colorado ranch in 2004. The couple has two sons, aged 14 and 15, and a 12-year-old daughter.
This marks the second marriage for 68-year-old Costner, the Oscar and Emmy-winning actor known for roles in TV’s “Yellowstone” and films such as “Dances With Wolves,” “The Bodyguard,” and “Bull Durham.” Costner has four adult children from prior relationships.
