Moderna announced on Mondays that the first US Coronavirus Vaccine tested on people, appears to be safe and able to activate immune responses to the virus. Reports are based on two doses of vaccine to the first eight volunteers on beginning in March.
Those healthy people developed antibodies that prevented the virus from replicating in the human body which was later tested on the laboratory — the main prerequisite of an effective vaccine.
Recently the researchers in the New England Journal of Medicine have reported that a vaccine tested by the National Institutes of Health and Moderna Inc in March on 45 healthy adults found to boosting their immune system. Phase 1 and Phase 2 study went well, hence Phase 3 will be conducted with 30,000 people which is going to begin on the 27th of July.
