Salesforce released seven named Agentforce agents on 11 September 2026, four days before its Dreamforce conference opens in San Francisco. Six are generally available immediately; the outbound sales agent, Hunter, is in pilot and is due in November 2026. Salesforce published no price for the new agents in the announcement.

The Seven Agents and What Each One Does

Each agent ships with the skills, actions and data models for one job rather than as a blank builder, which is the change from earlier Agentforce releases. As of 13 September 2026, the line-up and its availability stand as follows, according to Salesforce’s own announcement.

AgentJob it is built forAvailability
CaseyCustomer service across voice, SMS, WhatsApp and web chatGenerally available
PaigeIT and HR requests from employees, in Slack and internal portalsGenerally available
CarterShopper help, product comparison and in-chat checkoutGenerally available
MarshallSupply chain and back-office process orchestrationGenerally available
PiperInbound lead qualification on websites and in inboxesGenerally available
FinComplex customer-experience workflows across channelsGenerally available
HunterOutbound sales, from research through to outreachPilot; general availability targeted for November 2026

“Generally available” is the vendor term for a product any customer on the right edition can switch on, as opposed to a pilot, which is limited to invited accounts. Hunter is the only one of the seven not yet at that stage.

What Salesforce Did Not Say About the Price

The announcement carried no price for the seven agents. It did not say whether they are included in existing Agentforce entitlements, sold as add-ons, or metered differently from the agents customers build themselves.

What exists instead is Agentforce’s standing price list, which Salesforce publishes and which was unchanged by this launch. On Salesforce’s own pricing page, consumption is billed either at $2 per conversation or through Flex Credits at $500 per 100,000 credits, with a standard action costing 20 credits and a voice action 30. Local list prices are published alongside the dollar figures, including £1.60 and 2 euros per conversation, and £400 and 500 euros per 100,000 credits.

Seat pricing sits on top of that: an Agentforce user licence at $5 per user per month, which still requires Flex Credits, with add-on licences at $125 per user per month and industry add-ons at $150. The Agentforce 1 edition starts at $550 per user per month and bundles 2.5 million Flex Credits per organisation per year.

These are list prices in the currencies Salesforce publishes, not the price any particular customer pays; enterprise software is normally discounted under negotiated contracts, and what a deployment costs depends on how many actions the agents take.

The Results Salesforce Cites, and Who Measured Them

Salesforce put customer figures in the announcement. They are supplied by the vendor and its customers, not independently audited, and each covers a single deployment.

  • Engine: half of chat inquiries fully resolved by its help agent.
  • Perk: 60% of sales pipeline built by its outbound agent.
  • Autism Queensland: 70% of administrative requests resolved by its employee agent.
  • Hibbett: 90% of core shopper journeys handled, after going live in six weeks.
  • Asana: four times the conversation volume through its website agent.
  • Anthropic: 79% of conversations resolved autonomously by Fin.

Salesforce also said in its launch announcement that Agentforce and Slack together have delivered 7 billion Agentic Work Units over two years, 3.2 billion of them in the most recent quarter. An Agentic Work Unit is Salesforce’s own measure of agent activity, not an industry standard, so it cannot be compared with figures from other vendors.

The Platform Changes Underneath

Alongside the agents, Salesforce set out changes to the machinery they run on, each with its own date.

  1. Long-Horizon Runtime: lets an agent pursue a goal across days or weeks rather than one session, with memory and durable execution. Hunter is the first agent to use it.
  2. Multi-Agent Orchestration: generally available now, for handing work between agents.
  3. AI Skills in Agentforce Coworker: in pilot, with general availability targeted for October 2026.
  4. Agent Optimizer: targeted for October 2026.

A day earlier, on 10 September 2026, Salesforce previewed a separate governance layer, the Trusted Enterprise AI Harness and an AI Control Plane, intended to register and police agents from Salesforce and other vendors in one place. Salesforce said pricing, packaging and regional availability for that would come nearer release, and that it begins rolling out in early fiscal 2028, which starts in February 2027. Governance of agents that reach company data has become a live question elsewhere too, as the scrutiny of Meta’s Muse agent this month showed.

What Agents Have Already Done to Salesforce’s Own Support Desk

Salesforce is its own reference customer for the job-displacement question. On 2 September 2025, chief executive Marc Benioff said the company had taken its customer support headcount from about 9,000 to about 5,000 as agents took on conversations, telling the Logan Bartlett podcast he needed “less heads”.

Benioff has described that as a rebalance rather than a straight redundancy round, with staff moved into sales and other teams. Salesforce has not published a headcount breakdown that would let the two accounts be separated, and no new figure was given with this week’s launch.

The support role is where these agents land first: Casey and Fin are both built for it, and automated customer service was the first function most companies handed to software.

What Is Not Settled

  • Price: Salesforce has not said what the seven named agents cost or which entitlement covers them.
  • Hunter’s date: November 2026 is a target, not a committed release date.
  • Whether the results generalise: the resolution rates above come from named early adopters; Salesforce has published no figures across its wider base.
  • Regional availability: the announcement did not break availability down by country or language.

Agentforce Agents FAQ

How Many Agentforce Agents Did Salesforce Announce?

Seven, on 11 September 2026: Casey, Paige, Carter, Marshall, Piper, Fin and Hunter. Six are generally available and Hunter is in pilot.

When Is Hunter Available?

Salesforce is targeting general availability for Hunter, the outbound sales agent, in November 2026. Until then it is limited to pilot customers.

What Do Agentforce Agents Cost?

Salesforce published no price for the seven named agents. Its standing Agentforce list prices, unchanged by the launch, are $2 per conversation or $500 per 100,000 Flex Credits, plus seat licences from $5 per user per month.

What Is an Agentic Work Unit?

It is Salesforce’s own unit for counting agent activity across Agentforce and Slack. The company reported 7 billion of them over two years. It is not a standard metric and does not translate to other vendors’ figures.

Are These Agents the Same as the Trusted Enterprise AI Harness?

No. The Harness and its AI Control Plane, previewed on 10 September 2026, are a governance layer for managing agents from any vendor. Salesforce said it starts rolling out in early fiscal 2028, from February 2027.
